Donation Program Guidelines
At Skeena, we are proud to help our communities and enrich the lives of individuals and families where we live, work and do business. We welcome requests for financial donations or in-kind contributions to support impactful, community-based initiatives located close to the Eskay Creek project area in northwest BC, including but not limited to nearby Tahltan communities (Dease Lake, Iskut, and Telegraph Creek), Stewart, and communities along highway 16 from Smithers to Terrace.
Based on community input, our support focuses on three key areas:
Community Education
Community Wellness
Arts, Culture and Language
We thank all applicants for their interest. Skeena strives to support as many initiatives as possible, however given the large volume of applications, organizations and initiatives located near our project area, or have a direct local impact, will be prioritized.
How to apply for funding
All funding applications should include:
- A completed Community Investment Form
- A detailed budget
- If possible, letters of support from current or past community officials (e.g., school principal, mayor, chief, elected officials)
Your application will be reviewed by our Community Investment Committee. It meets monthly and will provide a decision at the end of each month.
