Prince George Tahltan Night
In January, Skeena hosted a Tahltan Night reception in Prince George. This casual dinner was an opportunity for Tahltan Members in the area to connect with Skeena staff and talk about the Eskay Creek project.

Prince George Native Friendship Centre Donation
While in town for the B.C. Natural Resources Forum, the Skeena team visited the Prince George Native Friendship Centre to donate goods. We’re happy to support organizations like these in our Northern communities.

Get Connected Career Fair
In February, we attended the Get Connected Career Fair in Hazelton, Northern B.C. We met over 380 students and job seekers and shared how our Eskay Creek project supports local opportunities and long-term careers in the mining sector.

Smithers Minor Hockey Tournament
Skeena sponsored the Smithers Minor Hockey tournament, welcoming teams from across the North, from Quesnel to Prince Rupert.

Nishga’a Hoobiyee
Our team participated in Hoobiyee, the annual Nisga’a New Year celebration that featured traditional dancing, drumming and feasting. Special thanks to the many volunteers who made this year’s event, hosted by the Gitwinksihlkw Four Crest Dancers and the Nisga’a Village of Gitwinksihlkw, truly unforgettable.

Terrace Coldest Night of the Year
Skeena sponsored a rest stop for the Coldest Night of the Year in Terrace. Thank you and congratulations to everyone who walked, volunteered and donated, helping to reach 126% of the fundraising goal.

4×4 Industry Hockey Tournament
It was a great weekend of hockey and community at the 4×4 Industry Hockey Tournament, where the Skeena team proudly supported the Sawtooth Predators and the Dease Lake Recreation Centre.

Nation2Nation Women’s Gathering
Skeena was a proud sponsor of the Nation2Nation Women’s Gathering in Prince George and their Angel Pass program, directly supporting the attendance of women facing financial barriers and bringing together people from all walks of life to inspire and empower each other.
